Aerobics
Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all elements of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness). It is usually performed to music and may be practiced in a group setting led by an instructor.
With the goal of preventing illness and promoting physical fitness, Formal aerobics classes are divided into different levels of intensity and complexity. Aerobics classes may allow participants to select their level of participation according to their fitness level.
Zumba
Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba’s choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo, martial arts.
Zumba exercises include music with fast and slow rhythms, as well as resistance training. The music comes from the following dance styles: cumbia, salsa, merengue, mambo, flamenco, chachacha, reggaeton, soca, samba, belly dancing, bhangra, hip hop music, axé music and tango.
Pole Fitness
Pole dancing is a sport that combines many different forms of exercise from dance to gymnastics, acrobatics to strength training.
Pole dancing is a fantastic way to lose weight, keep fit and tone up your wobbly bits. Using the pole for fitness is now seen as a fun and exciting way to change your body and is used by women of all ages shapes and sizes to look fabulous and get real results.
Pilates
Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility and long, lean muscles, strength and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing to relieve stress and allow adequate oxygen flow to muscles, developing a strong core or center (tones abdominals while strengthening the back), and improving coordination and balance. Pilates’ flexible system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises. No muscle group is under or over trained.
Thai-Bo
Thai-bo is a non-contact martial arts based fitness system that incorporates the awesome techniques of Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) and the speed and grace of Taekwondo (the Korean martial art) together with a simple aerobic routine.
Almost anyone can participate in thai-bo training and you do not need previous martial arts experience. Whether you just want to get fit, lose a little weight or just feel safe in today’s increasingly violent society, come and try one of our classes.
